A double-double in Boston?

As we checked into our hotel in Boston, we were told, "As requested, we've booked you into a non-smoking room with two double beds." Eh? Non-smoking, yes, double beds, no. With my expanding belly and need for pillows to sleep with only a reasonable amount of discomfort, this was going to be a problem...

The room was booked by the conference organisers, and they requested two double beds. The first night we were here, the hotel was booked up (at least the non-smoking rooms were), so there was little they could do right then. There was more availability for the following night, and we were advised to check back in the morning.

Once Werner headed off to his workshop, I stopped by the front desk. I had barely said, "We checked in last night, my husband is here with the conference", before the clerk responded, "Yes, and you needed to change rooms, I'm sorry I cannot remember your surname." Wow!! I was truly impressed.

Before the day was out, we were moved to a room with a king bed. Since then, we've had two very comfortably, restful nights of sleep.
