Like a bat out of Hell

I went to the Meatloaf concert! Oh, wow, it was amazing! The first song was "All Revved Up With No Place to Go", followed by, of course, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light". Meatloaf said that "Objects In the Rearview Mirror" is his second-favourite of all the songs he's ever recorded, although he didn't say what is very favourite was. They performed "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad", too, and "Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back" and "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" and "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" and "Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through" and so many more favourites, as well as songs from the newest album.

There was a piano and two keyboards, two guitars + bass, a sax, a drum kit, and two back-up singers. There were three screens on the stage, onto which images from concerts and movies1 were projected. And you know those fan-inflated nylon thingies that inflate and then 'dance' from the air pressure? For one song those were used - each one looking like a member of the band!

In the end, I went alone. Werner nicely dropped me off and picked me up and cared for Jakob the whole evening.

It was such a fantastic show. And hooray, I got out!!

1 Which made me want to squeal "Eddie!", as per Columbia.
