Das Gummibärchen

Jakob is closing in on 7 months, and still (luckily for me) has no teeth. For a couple of months now, I've been thinking, "they've got to be coming!" especially on the days when he's fussy and nothing will help. But, alas, still a gummy bear.

Lately, he's been chewing even more. And hard! He likes to gnaw on my knuckles, and it actually really hurts me. He likes to bite on a hard plastic Baby Einstein spoon, or on his baby toothbrush. Werner thinks he can see two bumps appearing where the front lower teeth will be, but any time I try to sneak a peek, Jakob sticks out his tongue and blocks my view.

I suppose, though, I will be the first to know. Ouch for us both.
