It has been a very very long day here. My throat has been sore since yesterday, and I've got a headache. (Uh-oh.) Jakob has been incredibly fussy - even cranky - all day, and has been up since just past 7. He doesn't want to be put down, but he doesn't stay happy long even while he's being held. He ended up watching two Baby Einstein DVDs, which mostly calmed him. He has taken two naps, but neither was very long. His nose is runny, and his eczema has flared up. And, to top it all off, he's been spitting up a great deal and very frequently. Those two teeth, although they have cut through the gum, still haven't popped up, and may very well be causing him distress.
It's cold and rainy, and a nearby outdoor concert is so loud that the whole house seems to shake. One of my new t-shirts - worn only once - accidentally ended up in the dryer and has shrunk a whole size.
Anyway, I did have a good laugh. While Werner was giving Jakob a bath, he tried out one of the songs he learnt during the swimming class. Amongst the splashing, I heard strains of "London Bridge is coming apart".
Lost in translation, I suppose.
