Let the cooking begin

Yesterday, being a typically Vancouver-ish day (rainy, with a daytime high of just 17.9 degrees, according to Environment Canada), comfort food seemed right. (As an aside, it was also the first time in two weeks that I've actually cooked anything!) I decided on sweet and sour meatballs, which are always a favourite in our house.

Of course, I'm also keen to get started on filling the freezer with homemade goodies for those sleep-deprived days of new parenthood. So I bought far more meat as I needed for last night and a few of those foil pans with the cardboard covers, and got started.

Now, I've got about three meals- (plus leftovers-) worth of sweet and sour meatballs in the freezer. Saved, no doubt, for a rainy day.
