Zantac = miracle drug!!
I had hoped to be able to go through pregnancy as pharmaceutical-free as possible, but the first trimester headaches had me begging for Tylenol. In the second trimester, my allergist offered me a prescription to deal with my perpetually stuffy nose. I initially hesitated, but as I sat through my skin prick test, I decided that the baby would be well-served by me being able to get some rest. Even once I got the script, I waited to fill it, and only did so after additional reassurances from one of the GPs at the clinic and the pharmacist. I'm not so sure it has worked (I don't feel any less stuffy), but don't want to go off it in case it has helped (the congestion hasn't gotten any worse). And now the Zantac. But I've never needed antibiotics or anti-nauseants, and each of the prescriptions I've only taken once every other option has failed. I'm trying to not feel guilty.
And as for the heartburn relief, I sure hope this lasts.
