Glub glub glub

There is no way I can ever describe how good it feels to have my feet, ankles, and legs returning to normal. I had been told that I would probably pee out all the extra fluid, and so that's what I expected.

But, no. My body couldn't do that, it would be too predictable. Instead, I've been getting the sweats at night. As in, change-my-pyjamas-and-the-linens-in-the-middle-of-the-night-before-we-drown kind of sweats.

After a number of soaked nights, I finally remembered my sweat-wicking hiking/running shirts. Thank heaven they fit! I wore a long-sleeved shirt last night and slept more dryly.

Yes, that was me. Soaking, drenched, awful wet everything. The first time it happened, I thought I'd somehow managed to wet the bed. Profusely. Blech.

My sympathies are with you.

On the bright side, you get to be one of those women who loses 20+ pounds in no time after birth - too bad it all gets sweated out!!
