My uncle has discovered that our
lovely rental car has bald tires. Both front tires. My aunt called the local rental location, and they told us to bring it in. We did. They have absolutely no cars available, nor does the location at the airport, nor do any of the rental companies at the airport. The only solution was to have the tires changed. Not ideal (if something so obvious is wrong with the car, what else could be a problem?), but we didn't have much choice. We had a pleasant walk with my cousin and enjoyed the warm sunshine while the tires were being changed, and gave my aunt a scare when she saw her still-teenaged son pushing a baby stroller!
Later, we drove around. We visited my first school (no longer a school) and drove past the houses in which I once lived. We also stopped at
Dominion (if I could bring one souvenir with me from Newfoundland, it would be one of these Dominion stores....) to get some baby supplies and, for me, cold medicine.

In the evening we went out for a drive, and Jakob had playtime. My aunt and youngest cousin gave him a bath, and it took all of us to wrestle our determined-to-crawl baby into a diaper and then clothes!
