I just cannot keep up

I never did finish reading Life of Pi. It isn't that I didn't enjoy the book. Rather, I was halfway through when Werner proposed to me. All those bridal magazines beckoned.

I just collected today's mail. The latest issue of Canadian Living arrived. Being the good Canuck that I am, I love this magazine, and have subscribed for some years now and bought the monthly issue from the newstand for a while before that. (And before then, I read my mother's issues from cover to cover whenever I visited.)

{sigh}

The lastest Real Simple arrived a couple of weeks ago. I've barely looked at it. And I don't remember the last time I read a whole Globe and Mail.

Why? Because, of course, I'm plowing my way through Baby Bargains, as well as any pregnancy/baby freebie magazine that I come across.

When we go to Kelowna and Boston (and when I go to Mom and Gord's porch), I'll have to stock up on chicklit and leave all the baby-related reading behind. It might be my last chance.

Maybe I'll finish Life of Pi while nursing?
